SELLER TERMS & CONDITIONS

By submitting an item to The Smart Wedding Market, you agree to the following terms:
1. Approval & Listing
• All submissions are subject to review and approval.
• We reserve the right to decline any item that does not meet our quality standards.
• Approval is not guaranteed.
• We may edit descriptions or recommend pricing adjustments (with seller approval) to align with our platform standards.
2. Item Condition
• Items must be in excellent condition.
• Items must be clean and event-ready.
• All flaws, alterations, and customisations must be fully disclosed.
• Failure to disclose damage may result in removal from the platform and cancellation of payout.
3. Pricing
• Sellers set their proposed selling price upon submission.
• We may recommend pricing adjustments based on market value.
• We reserve the right to decline listings that are unrealistically priced.
4. Commission
• A 10% commission is deducted from the final selling price upon successful sale.
• There are no upfront listing fees.
• Commission is only charged once the item has sold.
Example:
If your item sells for R1,000, a 10% commission (R100) is deducted.
Your payout: R900.
5. Courier & Shipping
• Courier is arranged by our store once the item sells.
• Sellers must have the item securely packaged and ready for collection within 3 business days.
• Collection details will be communicated directly to the seller.
• Shipping costs are covered by the buyer unless otherwise stated.
6. Payment Release
• Buyer payment is securely processed through our website.
• Funds are released to the seller once delivery has been confirmed by the buyer.
• In the event of a dispute, funds may be held until the matter is resolved.
7. Returns & Disputes
• If an item significantly differs from its description, the sale may be reversed.
• The seller may be required to accept return of the item.
• Repeated misrepresentation may result in permanent removal from the platform.
8. Listing Duration
• Listings may remain active for a limited period (e.g., 60 days).
• Unsold items may be removed or re-evaluated.
• We reserve the right to rotate stock as part of our drop model.
9. Right to Remove
We reserve the right to remove any listing that:
• Violates our standards
• Receives consistent complaints
• Is found to be misrepresented
